Day 58 - you may call it a dependency

Song of the day:  Beyonce - Check On It ft. Bun B, Slim Thug

You may call it a dependency, but I just love coffee.  I could give up soda, but never coffee.  It's the part of my morning that I look forward to the most.  Elliot's down for his morning nap and I get to hang out with the Today Show and a nice cup of black coffee.  Heaven.

Yesterday was really exhausting due to the packing, driving, unpacking, and Elliot having endless amounts of energy!  I didn't get around to going to work out but I did dye my hair red!  Hopefully it will actually stick this time!  I guess is Feria is good enough for Beyonce, it's good enough for me, lol.

Last night we had chili for dinner and it was so good!  I'm going to have leftovers today since chili is always better the next day!  There's so much more fun stuff for Elliot to get into at my parents - and so much more room to run around in - so I'm definitely going to get a workout running after him!

Miranda and I had plans to do a workout class tonight, but I don't have anyone to watch Elliot since my dad is out of town and my mom and Logan are working on a play at the high school.  I'm going to go to the Snap Fitness next to my parents house after The Biggest Loser tonight for some good cardio.  My goal is to always do at least 3 days of cardio and strength training, but I like to aim for 4-5 days of cardio.

I'm wondering if I should change up my calorie intake.  Right now I aim for 1200-1550 calories, but honestly, I try to hover as close to 1200 as possible.  Some days I eat 1400, but typically it's about 1280.  A healthy weight loss is considered 1-2 lbs a week, and don't get me wrong, I LOVE seeing the scale move 5 lbs, but I think that I may need to slow down.  But at the same time, every weight loss show has people losing 5-10 lbs a week and doing fine.  And I have a lot of weight to lose, so maybe the 1-2 lbs a week starts to happen once I'm closer to a healthier weight.

Upon further review, I think the best realization out of the last paragraph is that I have a realistic expectation of weight loss.  Weight gone is weight gone.  It doesn't matter if it's 1 lb or 10 lbs.  I don't expect to lose 5 lbs a week.  In fact, I don't want to.  I want my body to get used to the less weight.  I want my skin to be able to realize what's going on.  And I don't want to have to buy new clothes ever week!  But it's definitely nice that some are now too big!

Oh my.  On a completely non-related note - Charlie Sheen needs to stop giving interviews.  Yikes.
