Today's the Day!!

Video Clip of the Day: Finding Nemo - Today's the Day!

Today's the day, the sun is shinning, the tanks is clean! - well, that part of the video doesn't really make sense, but today IS the day!

And I am happy to report that today is Caroline's 1st birthday and I have lost all of the baby weight - and even then some!  I'm down 3.4 lbs from last week!

This week has been full of awesomeness!  Caroline is completely off bottles, and no longer protesting the sippy cup, I got an A on my school violence and crisis management essay exam, both kids have been in pretty good moods, and I passed my goal!  And Kyle is on a short trip this week, so he's coming home tonight!

Last night, after putting the kids to bed, I knew that I should work out.  Nothing big, but I had to at least do something.  So I popped in Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and let her kick my butt for about 30 minutes.  And I'm proud to say I didn't quit or stop short of an exercise once!  Boomface!

I dropped the kids off this morning, I'm going to run after I'm done typing, then I'm on a mission to find a locksmith who can break open our safe, and a cute new celebratory outfit :)

Finding patterns.

I'm just now realizing that our scale only measures to even tenths of a pound.  Not once have I weighed xxx.7 lbs, it's always 0, 2, 4, 6, 8.... it's only taken me, what, 3 years to see that pattern?  Lol.

And another trend is I'm down 1.4 lbs this week!  If I keep this going I'll be rid of the baby weight on my next weigh-in, which happens to be Caroline's birthday!

I found out that my field site supervisor isn't going to be in the building on Friday, and that added with the potential nasty weather, she said I should just skip this week.  I'm not upset about this, and that makes me upset.  I mean the school seems awesome, but I just don't know what I'm going to really do there.  So far I've sat in on a few things, but it's just such a slower paced building than the school I was at last semester.  I don't know, if nothing else it's good experience to at least be in the school for my grad school applications.

On the plus side, this means (weather permitting) I can go shopping for Caroline's birthday!  I am planning on making her cake, and I really want some new ideas!  Of course I've been scoping out Pinterest :)

I think I may also do some shopping for myself.  My pants don't really fit well anymore.  Part of that is weight loss, part of that may be how long I've had the pants for.  Either way, it's time for some new clothing, but not too much because I'm hoping it won't fit for that long!

We got our duct's cleaned today, and the guy said that we have a really good heating system, and that he got a ton of stuff out.  Not the worst he's ever seen, but it definitely needed it!  He said he found some green army men - which are presents left probably from the grandchildren of the lady who owned the house before us, haha.  I now have the urge to clean everything else since the inner workings of our home are now clean!  Maybe Friday.... maybe...

Finally some movement in the right direction

Finally some progress!  4.2 lbs lost this week!  And that means I'm 3 lbs away from pre-pregnancy weight!  And Caroline's birthday is 2 weeks away, making losing all the weight by her first birthday, a totally obtainable goal!  YAY!  I really needed this!

I've lost 8 lbs since the beginning of the year, but 21.2 lbs since the end of July when I started focusing a little more on losing the baby weight!  A quick difference between men and women.  Kyle has just tried to make a few better choices when he eats, and he's lost 15 lbs.  How is that fair?  I feel like my life is one of those slimquick commercials.

Last night I actually went to the store because we were out of salad.  We've both been trying to eat more salad, and start dinner with one, but I only buy 2 bags at a time because I don't want it to go bad.  I thought it was a pretty good sign that we had already gone through them in 2 days!  I also found this really good dressing.  It's Ginger Sesame from Marzetti and it tastes so good!  It's found by the vegetables.  We also tried their Champagne flavor, and that was really good too.  I'm thinking of getting the light blue cheese the next time I go :)

Well, school is going well this week.  Nothing really to report.  I am feeling much better and am finally able to breath through my nose!  I've been drinking water like crazy and I think that's really helped.  I'm feeling happy with my progress so far :)

I still can't breathe through my nose

I loved the Grammy's last night!  Well, after Taylor Swifts weird and lack luster opening (and I love Taylor Swift, so it takes a lot for me to say that!) then the Grammy's got off to a good start!  I would LOVE to see Elton John live before I die.  Probably a bucket list thing...

I've thought about creating a list of 30 things I want to do before I'm 30, but I keep wondering what happens if I don't accomplish them?  Well, obviously nothing really happens, but it would kind of stink to not accomplish the list, and it would also stink if I made an easy list... hmmm, I may think about this some more.

After my last post Kyle let me know that I came off a little depressed - and that's even with the weird glitch that made the biggest rant paragraph disappear and look like weird code.  Let me assure you, I'm not depressed.  A little disappointed in myself in this one area of my life?  Yes.  I just choose to use sharing what I write about my faults as a way to help myself accept them and process what my goals are.  This blog is kind of an "out loud" self dialog.  But there's nothing to worry about, if it wasn't that I don't want to seem braggy, I could go on an on about things that I am currently amazing at (Kyle could also tell you how often I do this, lol) :)

On Saturday I got a massage, and it was amazing!  It was only 30 minutes, but the lady was so good that I thought she had gone longer!  I came home to our new furniture being delivered and it looks awesome!  A lot of people have told us we're "brave for getting white furniture with kids" but here's the thing: 1. It's from Ashley Furniture and it's this type of leather called Durablend, which is less pores than regular leather.  2. We got the full any stain, rip, tear, etc protection plan. 3. I like white.  I don't like black leather, and brown is okay, but it wouldn't look good in our living room, and there wasn't anything in brown that I liked.  4. No matter what we get, the kids are going to get something on at some point, we mine as well get something we'll enjoy!

I spent all day Sunday in bed.  I'm in denial that I may have the flu, but I'll currently admit to a really bad head cold.  I can't breathe out of my nose at all!  It's so annoying!  I was making dinner last night (Salmon with a mango glaze that I made up) and I realized that I couldn't smell or taste anything so I had to go off of Kyle's comments on how to proceed with the glaze!  Like I said, so annoying!!

I'm working on catching up on my online class, but thought I'd take a quick break to update!  And now back to work!
