Y02:D002 - Back to the Job

Song of the day:  Taylor Swift - Love Story

Well, I'm back at it.  As of today, I'm back to being a stay-at-home mom, until this fall.  I have mixed feelings about it.  I'm really excited to be able to spend a ton of time with Elliot again, but I really am going to miss being in school.  I also have worries about being cut out to be a stay-at-home mom again.  He's changed a lot in the four months that I was in school, and now I'm worried about making sure that he's learning things while we're at home.  Also, with the weather being so cold, I'm worried about him being active enough.  Granted, he's always running around, but in our apartment there's not much room to run.  Today I'm going to get a family membership to the Children's Museum, and heading there a couple times a week should help him get some energy out!  I'm also not that excited about cooking again, lol.  I really do enjoy cooking, but now that I have to every single day, it seems not as enjoyable.  But I am excited to be eating home cooked food again instead of mostly take out like we had been doing.

We had a great Christmas-New Years season!  It was really relaxing and we got to see a lot of family!  Elliot got a ton of new toys and he's still on overload every time he rediscovers another toy.  It was great to see him so excited about everything!  The first toy that he opened was a Buzz Lightyear doll, and we actually had to hide it so he would open the rest of his presents.  This morning Kyle gave him the Woody doll that we were going to give him for Christmas but accidentally left at home.  He's been carrying it around all morning, taking his hat off, putting it back on, and talking to Woody.  I'm not really sure what he's saying, but he was not excited when he had to put him down for breakfast, lol.

Well, almost one year ago I wrote my first blog entry about losing weight.  As of this morning I weigh 236.8 lbs.  That's 4.2 lbs more than I weighed last year at this point - but I'm also currently 7 months and 1 week pregnant.  I'm also 13.2 lbs less than I was at this point in my pregnancy with Elliot.  Overall, I'm feeling pretty good about that!  I've gained just under 30 lbs so far, and I think part of that is to blame on my overindulgence of cookies during the holidays :)  I am excited for the baby to get here, but we have so much left to do before she does!  This pregnancy is going by so much faster than Elliot's!  Eight weeks left!
