Song of the day: The Lonely Island ft. Akon - I Just Had Sex ...this song randomly played on my ipod during a workout, and it's great to run to! It's now my most played song, lol.
Side note: It's really funny how much your parents still affect you even when you're an adult. I'm 24, married, and we have a kid, and I'm still squeamish about my dad reading that I'm listening to a song called, 'I just had sex.' Lol :)
I had a really good workout last night. I did a ton of strength training then did the Week 1 Workout 3 of the c25k training program. It's great because it gives me more of a structured workout, instead of me deciding what I'm going to do when I turn on the treadmill. Tomorrow I start "week 2" of the program. So instead of running for 60 seconds then briskly walking for 90 seconds, I'm going to run for 90 seconds and briskly walk for 2 minutes. That seems like kind of a long time to walk, but I guess they know what they're talking about! I haven't had any lasting issues with shin splints, but I think taking a day off from running will help keep them away.
Yesterday we dropped off a ton of stuff at Goodwill then did some shopping to replace the stuff we just got rid of. Lol, not really... but kinda. Since we were out at kind of a weird time, and we had a late breakfast, we decided to stop at Arby's for a late lunch. I got the chicken pecan salad sandwich meal. Yes, I had the small curly fries and a small diet doctor pepper. And I don't feel bad about that at all because I had a sensible breakfast and had planned a sensible dinner (shrimp stir-fry). When we got home I went to the computer to enter my food and -WHAT!!!?!?!?!?? My seemingly harmless and what I thought was healthy meal was 1200 calories!! And I got diet soda! No wonder I wasn't hungry for dinner! The low end of my calorie range is 1200, and I had that in one meal! Thankfully I stayed under my top end of 1550, but jeeze! That should come with a warning label. WARNING: You may thing you're being healthy, but you're actually eating 1200 calories and 57 grams of fat (which is 1 over my range). In one meal!! I would have been better off going with a small roast beef sandwich! Ugh, but at least I know now - and so do all of you. Stay away from the pecan chicken!
I did pick up a fiber and calcium supplement to go along with my women's one a day multivitamin. No matter what I ea,t I tend to not get enough of either. So hopefully they help... help do whatever they're supposed to do, I guess... :)
Today is supposed to reach the 40's so we may go for a walk depending on the wind. It's terribly windy here. But Charlie Shortino (NBC's local weather guy) is saying we may even hit 60 later this week! I can't wait! Ok, all right. I guess it's time...

I guess that's all I can really expect from my last ditch effort this weekend, lol. But like I've said before, weight loss is weight loss, and I can be happy with that! Could I possibly be winning?? Oh, Charlie Sheen. Lol. Here's to this next week!
Hmmmmm. I'm squeamish about reading that you just listened to a song called, "I just had sex."
ReplyDeleteLOL I think it's funny the way adult kids are squeamish about any suggestion that their parents or aunt/uncle might still be having sex. (Are you listening Amy?)
ReplyDeletethat's a great weigh in.
ReplyDeleteyeah, arby's is kind of evil that way- the chicken salad sandwich is not a good choice even though it seems like it should be.
the curly fries aren't that bad for an indulgence.
Again, great weigh in, GO YOU!
